Ten principles, our way
These are loosely adapted from the ten principles that shape Burning Man communities worldwide, paraphrased into our own words and our own context — a small gathering project on a small island.
TO BE PERSONALISED — These are starting points, not scripture — the plan is to sit with them and rewrite them in the founder’s own voice over time.

Radical Inclusion
Anyone who wants to be here is part of this, before they’ve proven anything to anyone.

Gifting
We give what we can without expecting a trade — a gift loses something the moment it comes with strings.

Decommodification
We protect this space from being about buying, selling, or branding, so it stays about people.

Radical Self-Reliance
Bring what you need to look after yourself, and trust yourself to know what that is.

Radical Self-Expression
Show up as the truest, strangest, most real version of you — offered freely, never at someone else’s expense.

Communal Effort
The fire doesn’t build itself. Everyone who benefits from this space also helps carry it.

Civic Responsibility
We look out for the wellbeing of the whole gathering, not just our own patch of it.

Leaving No Trace
The land gives us this space; we leave it exactly as we found it, or better.

Watching from the edge is welcome, but the magic tends to find the people who step in.
