A small experiment that kept going

The Fold started small — an experiment in bringing people together around fire and conversation, with no fixed agenda beyond seeing what would happen if the usual social scripts were set aside. What began as one gathering slowly became a pattern, and the pattern slowly became a project: a simple, principle-based approach to hosting time together that borrows its spirit from Burner culture and its practicality from a small island community.

There’s no grand plan here, just a commitment to doing this well — consensually, warmly, and consistently — and letting it grow at whatever pace feels honest. The Fold is still young, still finding its shape, and still, at its core, an experiment worth continuing.
