LES CACHES, AVIAS · GUERNSEY
Our spaces
Nothing here is fixed. The Fold gathers around a small, modular set of structures — canvas, wood, and iron — that gets configured differently depending on what the gathering needs.
5m Belle tent & woodburner
Our largest structure — a 5-metre bell tent with a woodburning stove at its heart. It’s the space we retreat to when the weather turns, or when a gathering calls for something more contained and cosy than the open air.
- Seats a small circle comfortably around the stove
- Warm, dry, and wind-proof year-round
- Often the anchor point for indoor-weather Fireside Fridays
Dome
A geodesic dome that adds a second, distinct room to the site — used variously for quieter conversation, workshop-style sessions, or simply as an overflow space when a gathering grows larger than one tent can hold.
- Flexible interior, no fixed layout
- Pairs well with the Belle tent for two-space gatherings
- Distinct silhouette against the night sky — a favourite for stargazing
Fire bowl (kadai) & seating
The heart of most gatherings. A cast iron kadai fire bowl, ringed with simple log seating, sits at the centre of the outdoor space — the place people naturally drift toward once the light starts to go.
- Outdoor focal point for open-air gatherings
- Seating reconfigures easily for bigger or smaller circles
- Weather-dependent — moves indoors to the woodburner when needed
MODULAR BY DESIGN
Configured for the moment
Depending on the size of a gathering, the season, or the weather on the night, the tent, dome, and fire bowl get moved and combined differently — sometimes all three in use at once, sometimes just the fire and a circle of logs under open sky.
